LGBT+ Affirming Care

Lived experience as queer and trans as well as extensive work with LGBT+ communities in a variety of settings equip me to competently meet you where you are. I will be glad to support you whether you want to explore your identity and sense of self, your relationship with the LGBT+ community, navigating openness with others, decisions about gender presentation or transition, or if you simply want a caring space in which your identity is held with respect. It is a joy for me to work with my community.

Trauma-Informed Therapy for Harm, Attachment Wounds, and More

Many of us experience trauma, harm, highly stressful situations, loss, and/or deep pain stemming from our relationship dynamics with others. These may be caused by individuals, structures like school or work, or larger systems that we operate within. These may also occur in connection with a significant loss or change. Much of my therapeutic work has been dedicated to supporting people who have had these sorts of experiences. I will be glad to support you in understanding how this may affect you in different areas of life and to join you in spending as much or as little time exploring this during sessions as would benefit you.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal family systems (IFS) is a non-pathologizing approach that invites you to forge profound connections with different parts of yourself — at the pace you need. This can lead to powerful change grounded in your own readiness. IFS is an approach that I frequently use and is appropriate to address many areas of focus, such as general self-understanding and connection with one’s feelings; experiences of trauma, harm, or loss; experiences of difficulties or hurt in relationships with others; anxiety; depression; masking; making decisions, including around expressing gender and transition; and internalized structural harm, e.g., transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, racism, ableism, misogyny, sizeism. I have completed Level 2 training with the IFS Institute.
